The mission of the Counseling Center is to provide personal counseling and consultation services to Talladega College students for a wide array of mental health issues and to offer outreach programs to enhance students overall well-being and academic progress. We aim to enhance the educational experience and development, as well as the understanding and support of students with disabilities through equitable access, accommodations, and the provision of programs and services to holistically assist registered students. A primary goal of the office is to enhance access and resources for students with disabilities, and to assist Talladega College in continuing to embrace a community of inclusiveness.

Individual Counseling Services (Personal and Social)

The Office of Counseling Services offers Individual Counseling on an as needed basis – as well as referral services to outside counseling agencies if necessary. Services are offered in the following areas:

Career Services

The Office of Counseling Services provides Career Planning and Placement to assist students, and alumni in securing graduate school admission and/or employment. Employment and Internship Opportunities as well as dates of standardized testing are posted in the Career Service Center (#114 Seymour Hall) as well as on the “Jobs Placement Board” and the My Talladega web page. The Career Center is open Monday – Friday from 8:30A.M. – 4:30P.M.; and services are offered in the following areas:
