Wellness Workshops & Seminars

Throughout the school year the Health Center sponsors wellness workshops and seminars on a variety of topics that seek to encourage students to take care of their greatest assets – their mind and body.

The Student Health Services Center is located on the first floor of Arthur D. Shores Hall. It is staffed by a full-time registered nurse who treats minor ailments and injuries. When a licensed physicians’ evaluation and services are needed the nurse will refer students to the local medical offices for evaluation. The nurse will also transport students to the local hospital and/ or medical offices.

Citizens Baptist Medical Center located in downtown Talladega is used for serious illnesses and accidents. When a student becomes ill, he/she should notify the Resident Manager, who will contact the nurse or campus police. If it is an emergency paramedics are called with no hesitation. All enrolled students at Talladega College are expected to have a medical form on file prior to entering Talladega College.
