Paying for college is an important aspect of realizing your academic goals. Talladega College’s affordable tuition helps you keep costs low as you pursue your education. Talladega College provides a high-quality education at an affordable price. 

The Office of Financial Aid works closely with students to help them find resources to pay for a Talladega College education.  Within this website, you’ll find an explanation of the world of financial aid: the kinds of grants, scholarships, and loans you may be eligible for; the applications and forms you need to fill out and when; and tips on sources of financing you may not have considered.

Financial Aid

The 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The (FAFSA) is used to determine your eligibility for grants, loans, Federal Work-Study and for most federal and state programs.

Complete the FAFSA online here. To ensure that your financial aid will be awarded in time to help cover your tuition and fees for the 2017-2018 school year, complete your FAFSA starting October 1, 2016. Financial aid files completed by the priority date will be awarded financial aid, if eligible, no later than March 1, 2017.

Scholarships

Based on availability, the College offers institutional scholarships to first-time college freshmen and junior college or community college graduates. Minimum qualifications include:

All applicants must apply for Federal Financial Aid by completing the Federal Financial Aid application packet.a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) and official proof of high school graduation for all scholarship applicants.

All scholarship recipients must enroll and maintain a minimum of 15 credit hours each semester during the academic year.

All institutional scholarships are based on students eligibility for a Federal Pell Grant. Recipients must complete the FAFSA each year.
