Kimberly Alexander began her tenure as Vice President of Institutional Advancement on October 1, 2014.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia Ms. Alexander earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College and A Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law School.  She holds a Certificate in Fundraising Management from The Fundraising School of the Center of Philanthropy.

After practicing securities and corporate law for nearly 15 years, Ms. Alexander made her passion her purpose and began her career as a professional fundraiser in 2001.  Since 2005, Ms. Alexander has served as the chief development officer and in senior leadership positions at several organizations where she developed and successfully implemented comprehensive fundraising programs that resulted in increased financial support.

Ms. Alexander is a member of several civic organizations, including The Links Incorporated and the oldest African American literary organization in the country, the Inquirer’s.
